Clarice Hine is a senior content editor for TUI. She loves aeroplane food and exploring supermarkets in other countries, and she spent a year living and working in New York. Some of her favourite travel memories are swimming in the Rhine through Basel, taking a helicopter tour in the Canadian Rockies, seeing the Swiss Alps from the glass-roofed Glacier Express and meeting a turtle on her first swim in Barbados.
Likes: Crisps, Scrabble, wild swimming and the sea.
Dislikes: Mondays, having cold feet and hearing other people’s headphones.
First holiday memory: A static caravan in Agay in the south of France. There were wild boar living in the woods behind the campsite and my sister and I used to sneak off and feed them.
Top travel tip: Eat everything, even if you don’t know what it is. You learn so much about a country from the local food, where it comes from and how it’s eaten.
Where to next? Hopefully Japan … one day!
Favourite holiday destination: It has to be India. Each state feels different from the last, the food’s incredible and there’s so much beauty everywhere, from Rajasthan’s forts and palaces to the colourful backwaters and white beaches of Kerala.
